A 26-year-old man reported severe lacerations after an assault with a deadly weapon in a parking lot on Thursday, according to a case report released by the Greenville Police Department.

The incident took place between 3 a.m. and 3:22 a.m. Thursday on the 2800 block of Best Road, the report said.

The man was attacked with a knife, the report said. No further details were provided. An investigation is ongoing.
